What book or series got you into reading?

The Little House on the Prairie series

Highlights magazine

When did you start reading?

When I  was about 5 years old.

Where do you read?

At the kitchen table, on the sofa, or in the garden if the weather is nice

What kind of books do you like to read?

Literary fiction is my favorite, but I’ll read almost anything as long as it isn’t Sci-fi, fantasy, and most YA

For you, why is it important to read books by or about women?

We still have so many stories by women that have yet to be told…..

I’ll be focusing on books by women of color.

I’m very excited about getting back into writing but most of all to be working with a great group of women.

About Didi

Didi is an EFL Teacher and holds a BA in English Literature with a minor in French as well as a Masters in TEFL and a diploma in Interior Architecture. She loves reading literary fiction and is specifically interested in books by Black writers from all over the diaspora. She feels that Black writers are highly neglected in the publishing world so she highlights them as much as she can through readalongs and book reviews. When she’s not reading and writing in her journals, she is trying to teach herself Italian and how to watercolor, along with going for long swims. She currently lives 75 km north west of Paris in a town in Normandy, France.
